This was the first painting produced following the completion of all the fossil paintings for the summer show 'Stone Secrets' - it was revitalising to produce an abstract after painting a collection of carefully observed studies. This painting was the first of a series implementing a limited palette of reds and whites, produced as an exploration of how the two colours interact with one another. | |||
