Painted on a highly textured surface, this contemporary oil on box canvas is painted solely using Yellow Ochre Deep, Titanium White and Payne's Grey. This is my response to moment experienced whilst 'doing' the Venice Biennale- It was a beautiful autumn morning, with a fairly low sun and sebsequent long cool shadows. The ochre wall shone through the crisp and hazy flickering shadows, and I simply had to try to capture the scene on canvas. | |||
