This painting on box canvas was inspired by a beautiful wall photographed whilst walking in Venice. Many of my paintings consist of loose colour washes embellished with impasto and tighter areas of detail. The texture of this wall was a little different to the usual crumbling facade I depict, so I had to do a little experimenting to achieve the desired effect. | |||
