‘A Sunlit Glade’ Laidwood
This painting is a continuation of my work relating to the
coppiced chestnut woods in Kent.
My childhood holidays were spent dreaming in these woods. I explored nature’s
early spring flowers and watched the sunlight fall through thousands of
tree stems and filter to the ground. These were magical moments of freedom.
