Ephemeral Art in the Woods

Using baskets to collect natural materials from the woodland location you will be guided by artists Nita Rao and Lisa Denham to create temporary ‘ephemeral art’ on the woodland floor: use found objects, leaves, seeds and twigs etc to create your own personal work or join with others to co-create something larger! This drop-in workshop is free and open to all (children must be accompanied by an adult). Just turn up and get creative!

Bells and tree people banners

Help create a new trail installation to ‘Sound the Alarm’ and ‘Ring in Hope’. Clouds: Elevated

To conclude the day, as a special addition to the workshops this Sunday, artists Andy Harper and Kulvir Bhambra will be performing a unique audio visual show: ‘Clouds: Elevated’ . Through the afternoon they will transform a cluster of mature trees into an immersive cloudscape by wrapping the trees in translucent materials. Then at 8.30pm they will begin a 30 minute performance, illuminating the scene through projection creating luminous sculptural forms which, combined with Kulvir’s unique responsive audio compositions, will create a truly unique immersive experience.

17th August
