1. Layered Meanings – in Relation to the Written Word, 4th – 22nd October, West Bridgford Library Gallery, Nottingham

ArtSpace Loughborough artists have responded to exhibiting at a gallery in a library by relating their work to books and words. Most of the artists have been inspired by actual texts – from writers as diverse as Dante, Freud and Virginia Woolf. Some artists have related their work to wider aspects of the written word such as the conveying of meaning or the patterns of rhythm.
